Smart, interconnected and low carbon transport represents a priority for the economic future and liveability of European cities. The move towards electric mobility in urban areas will require large investments into the supporting electric grid as the success rate of e-mobility will be intrinsically linked to the necessary charging infrastructure that represents a precondition for the large scale introduction of electric vehicles.
